High School Juniors, Seniors Can "Discover Pharmacy" at Wilkes University During Two-Day Camp, August 13-14

Wilkes-Barre, PA (07/11/2019) — Wilkes University's Nesbitt School of Pharmacy will provide high school juniors and seniors with a prescription for a successful career during the Discover Pharmacy Day Camp this summer. The two-day camp begins Aug. 13 at 8:30 a.m. and concludes Aug.14 at 5 p.m. Overnight accommodations are not available. The fee is $50 per student. Deadline to apply is Aug. 1.

Discover Pharmacy gives high school students an opportunity to talk with current pharmacy students, faculty, deans and working pharmacists while combining hands-on activities to introduce them to pharmacy's dynamic blend of science and patient care.

Attendees will receive a behind-the-scenes look at pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences through lab activities, including:

Students will also learn how to prepare for and apply to the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, get a glimpse at life as a student pharmacist at Wilkes and hear about the variety of rewarding career paths available to pharmacists.
