Alison Heck of Harding, Pa., is one of 80 Wilkes University students completing internships for the spring 2011 semester. These student interns work in various fields, including law enforcement, radio broadcasting, event planning, and adoption services. Their majors range from criminology and political science to psychology and communications studies.

Heck is a senior studying psychology and sociology. She is completing an internship with the Luzerne County Probation Office in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Heck is shadowing probation staff and will participate in training, staff meetings, court hearings and field observation under the supervision of Theresa Kline. She is the daughter of Joyce Heck.
