Gianna Chase of Scranton, Pa., Performs in Wilkes University Theatre's Presentation of "Carrie: The Musical"

Gianna Chase of Scranton, Pa., will perform in Wilkes University Theatre's presentation of "Carrie: The Musical" on Nov. 7-9 and 14-16 at the Darte Center for the Performing Arts. Chase, a freshman musical theatre major, will play the role of Miss Gardener. Chase is the daughter of Calvin and Andrea Chase.

Based on the novel by Stephen King, this rock musical about Carrie White, a bullied telekinetic teen misfit who is pushed too far, will horrify and delight audiences. The musical is directed by Joseph C. Dawson, Wilkes associate professor of theatre, with musical direction by Ken McGraw, Wilkes adjunct faculty of theatre.

All performances are at 8 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. General admission is $10, $5 for students, seniors and children, and free with a Wilkes ID. For more information or to reserve tickets, please contact the box office at 570-408-4540.
