Kevin J. Rizzo of Allentown, Pa., Performs in 'All the King's Women' Sept. 25-28

2014 Sep 19

Kevin J. Rizzo of Allentown, Pa., will perform in Wilkes University Theatre's production of "All the King's Women," a comedy by Luigi Jannuzzi, Sept. 25 to 28. Performances are being held nightly at 8 p.m. in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center, with a Sunday matinee performance at 2 p.m. Rizzo, a freshman theatre and psychology major, is playing the role of BonE, Andy Warhol's assistant, and a gift shop employee.

Directed by Wilkes' director of theatre Teresa Fallon, "All the King's Women" tells the story of Elvis Presley from the perspective of 17 different women; "some enthralled, some appalled, all obsessed!" The compilation of five one-act comedies and three monologues takes audiences from Tupelo, Mississippi, where 12-year-old Elvis wants a BB gun instead of a guitar, to The Steve Allen Show, President Nixon's office, Andy Warhol's studio and Graceland. The comedy promises to bring the entire family together and leave audiences with a new appreciation for "The King."
