Matthew Finnegan of Courtdale, Pa. (18704) was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science honor society on April 17. Finnegan is a political science major.

Founded in 1920, Pi Sigma Alpha is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States. The Sigma Pi chapter at Wilkes University was chartered in 1992 and recognizes students for their academic success. Today there are more than 800 chapters of Pi Sigma Alpha across the United States.

To be inducted into the Sigma Pi chapter at Wilkes University, a political science major must have a grade point average of 3.2 overall and a 3.4 grade point average in their political science major courses.
