Stephanie Fisher of Hallstead, Pa., Places Second with Wilkes University Nursing Team in NCLEX Challenge

Stephanie Fisher of Hallstead, Pa., was on a team of six senior nursing students from Wilkes University that placed second in the Geoffrey Allen Walp Memorial 11th Annual Student Nursing Challenge at East Stroudsburg University. The challenge assists student nurses in their preparation for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), which licenses individuals to practice nursing. Joyce Victor Chmil, assistant professor and director of nursing at Wilkes, coached the student team.

Eight institutions of higher learning from northeast Pennsylvania participated in the challenge. The teams competed by answering NCLEX-style questions.
