Wilkes University Student Anthony Fanucci of Madison Township, Pa., Enters Achieving Independence Competition at Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting

Anthony Fanucci of Madison Township, Pa., was on a four-student team from the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy that participated in the Achieving Independence Competition at the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting. The other students on the team were Paige Pientka of Nanticoke, Pa.; Vladimir Russ of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and Ashley Robold of Bensalem, Pa. The competition challenges student teams to create a fiscally viable business plan for opening a new pharmacy in Pennsylvania or purchasing an existing pharmacy and implementing new concepts. The students presented their poster to a live panel of judges. Kim Ference, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, was faculty advisor for the project.
