Wilkes University Student Audrey Wood of White Haven, Pa. 18661 Presented Award at Annual Scholarship Luncheon

Audrey Wood of White Haven, Pa. 18661, is the recipient of The Charles Mattei P.E. Scholarship at Wilkes University. Scholarship students were recognized along with the donors whose gifts made the scholarships possible at the University's annual Scholarship Luncheon on March 22. The scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a degree in science or engineering. The recipient must demonstrate strong collegiate academic performance (minimum GPA of 3.0) and above average service to the community and others. It was established by the North-East Penn Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers. Charles Mattei was the the PennDOT District 4-0 Engineer from 1986 to 2003, and he was also an assistant professor of environmental science and head men's lacrosse coach at Wilkes University for many years. Wood is a environmental engineering major.
