Wilkes University Student Gregory McFarlane of Charlton, N.Y., Presents Research at Plant Biology 2013

2013 Aug 5

Gregory McFarlane of Charlton, N.Y., was part of a team of Wilkes University students who presented their summer research at Plant Biology 2013, the annual meeting of the American Society of Plant Biologists. The students presented their work during a special undergraduate session and also at three sessions open to all 1500 conference participants. William Terzaghi, professor of biology, leads the students' research. Although an American society, 40 percent of ASPB members are international and come from around the world to attend the annual meeting. This year, the conference was held in Providence, R.I., from July 20-24. Other student participants were Bryant Morocho, Lauren Gunn, Kathryn Margavage and Michael Yuhas.

McFarlane is a senior biology major and the son of Norman and Christine McFarlane.
