Harrison Eckert of Orefield, Pa. 18069, is the recipient of The John D. Kearney Memorial Scholarship at Wilkes University. Scholarship students were recognized along with the donors whose gifts made the scholarships possible at the University's annual Scholarship Luncheon on March 22. The scholarship is presented by a special committee within the biology department. The award is given to a senior who intends to enter medical school. Awards are based on merit and potential. It was established in 1999 in memory of Kearney '97 by his parents, family and friends. Eckert is a biology and Spanish major.
