Wilkes University Student Patrick Kaczmarczyk of Duryea, Pa., Awarded UPS Scholarship

Wilkes University student Patrick Kaczmarczyk of Duryea, Pa., was awarded the UPS Scholarship through the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania in the amount of $2,600. Kaczmarczyk is a senior nursing major. The UPS Scholarship is awarded to a student whose background reflects one or more of the characteristics of highest priority to the UPS Foundation and Council of Independent College's First Opportunity Program. Those characteristics include, first generation, low-income, minority, or new American students.

All 89 institutions that are members of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania are eligible to have a student receive a $2,600 UPS scholarship. Eligibility requirements are left to the discretion of each institution.
