Wilkes University Student Rebecca Voorhees of Tobyhanna, Pa., Performs in Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships

Rebecca Voorhees from Tobyhanna, Pa., performed in the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Championships on Nov. 5, 2016. The exhibition took place at the West Shore Stadium in Harrisburg where the Wilkes University Marching Band performed for 26 college bands. Voorhees plays mellophone and baritone saxophone with the Marching Band.

Tournament of Bands is one of the largest competitive band organizations in the country. Founded in 1972 by the National Judges Association, Tournament has grown to over 400 active schools and organizations, providing performance opportunities in field band, indoor guard, majorette, percussion and dance team as well as comprehensive festivals with instrumental and choral events.
