Wilkes University's Upward Bound Program sponsored its annual Pin Dinner. The formal dinner recognized the senior students who will graduate from Upward Bound in May. The dinner was held in the ballroom of Wilkes University's Henry Student Center.

Director Dawn Harding began the evening welcoming students, parents, faculty and alumni. Seniors Hope Willis, Hanover Area; Nicholas Lutz, Holy Redeemer; and Krtystin Chaga, Lake-Lehman, gave personal messages to the families and faculty. Alumna Michelle Kalinowski gave the "meaning of the pin" speech and concluded the evening with the presenting of the pins.

Since 1967, Upward Bound has been preparing area high school students for college and is a federally funded Trio Program.
