The Family Business Alliance Presents Valuing Family Business on Oct. 18 at Wilkes University and Penn State Worthington Scranton
Wilkes-Barre, PA (09/28/2018) — The Family Business Alliance of Wilkes University and Penn State Worthington Scranton presents Valuing the Family Business on Oct. 18. The workshop will cover the thought process necessary to sell a family business. The event is free, but registration is required.
The workshop will be presented at two locations. The morning location is at Wilkes University, Henry Student Center, Miller Room, Second Floor, 84 W. South St., Wilkes-Barre. Registration is at 8 a.m. and the workshop from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The afternoon location is at Penn State Worthington Scranton, Dawson Building, Room 10, Campus Drive, Dunmore. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. and the workshop from noon to 1 p.m.
Stuart A. Smith, managing director for M&T Investment Banking Group, and John W. Lindak, vice president and business valuation services manager for Wilmington Trust, are the guest speakers for the event. They will speak on how a business owner can maximize the value of their business and what judgements are made to find their business's worth.
