Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra Presents, "Rule Britannia" Concert on April 30

The Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra will present a concert of music on April 30, at 8 p.m. in the Main Stage of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts. The concert is conducted by John Vaida, adjunct professor of violin at Wilkes University and the director of the Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.
The concerts theme, "Rule Britannia" will feature music composed in England including the Serenade for Strings in E minor of Edward Elgar, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Greensleeves and the Haydn Symphony No. 99 in E-flat Major, Hob. I:99.
The Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra performs orchestral literature in a variety of traditional and contemporary styles.
