Wilkes University Civic Band Chamber Ensembles Present Concert Dec. 6
Wilkes-Barre, PA (11/28/2017) — The Wilkes University Civic Band Chamber Ensembles will perform a concert of music for winds and percussion on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ Uniting, 190 S. Sprague Ave., Kingston. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.
Chamber Ensembles will perform a selection of wind and percussion music under the direction of Philip Simon, associate professor of music and director of bands and Michele Fadden, percussion instructor. Selections include Little Symphony for Winds by Franz Schubert; Mitchell Peters's, A La Nañigo for percussion ensemble; Acton Ostling, Jr.'s, Suite for Percussion, and The Symphony for Brass Choir by Vincent Ewald.
