WILKES UNIVERSITY STUDENTS VOLUNTEER AT LOCAL NONPROFITS AND BUSINESSES AT THE BIG EVENT ON APRIL 27
Wilkes-Barre, PA (04/26/2019) — It will be a big day to make a big difference when more than 250 Wilkes University students, alumni and faculty members participate at the eighth annual Big Event on April 27. Volunteers are pitching in to work at 16 sites in Luzerne County, doing everything from painting and grounds cleanup to sorting food and feeding animals. Volunteers will arrive at their sites between 8-9:30 a.m. They will return to campus between noon and 1 p.m. for a barbeque lunch on the Fenner Quadrangle that culminates the event.
